Ainda não foram relatadas atividades biológicas para P. amazonicum, P. aracouchini ou Doliocarpus sp. As seguintes atividades foram relatadas para P. heptaphyllum: analgésica (Oliveira et al., 2005), ansiolítica/antidepressiva (Aragão et al., 2006) e anti-inflamatória (Oliveira et al., 2004). Sugere-se que essas plantas sejam testadas quanto à atividade do SNC, incluindo propriedades ansiolíticas, antidepressivas e anticonvulsivas. [português]
